"Terrible. Room had no plates, cutlery, toaster. So all you could do was make a cup of tea or coffee, and the microwave was redundant. No bedside table. No designated parking - you normally expect to park right outside your room at a motel. Uncomfortable bed. Plus much more lacking in this room they call “deluxe”."

"I’ve been in Proserpine for 5-6 years now and have always loved the local Met and the staff ..But since they have employed the new guy Richard who is absolutely hopeless and won’t serve or do anything unless someone with authority is around and pathetically sucks up to management and always has a bad and lazy attitude towards the local patrons when no one else is around . Have to ask him to serve because he’s to busy talking and doing nothing"

"Location is ideal for walking to all shops and dining. No noise at all. Very safe stay, which is important to me, travelling on my own with my young granddaughter. Seamless check in. Our Host Tracey was in contact throughout our 1 night stay, and wished us safe travel on our departure. The room was very nice, having obviously been refurbished recently. Very fresh, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had everything we required for our stay. Easy parking in front of rooms. Was a wonderful experience from start to end. Great value. Will definitely stay again if heading that way. Highly recommend."

"Clean and comfy. Great staff. If you manage your expectations you will not be disappointed. During my 5 nights, I used it as a gateway to the Whitsundays, without having to stay in Airlie Beach (which I do not like). Make sure you understand the bus timetable. One is in your room. Bus to whitsundays is ahout half an hour and you can get a day pass for $1. This is a motel, so if you want the resort experience you will want to stay in Airlie"

"What an experience !! The advertisement was totally misleading . 1 - No restaurant. We were told the roof had fallen in . We commiserated with the manager only to be told by locals that food hadn’t be available for 7 years !! 2 - The rooms were spacious but 1 night was enough. 3- The kitchen for guest use was disgusting 4- Bathroom facilities were on par with a poor caravan park quite a trek down an uneven hallway. We escaped at first light to wait for our train and find coffee and food. The lovely people of Proserpine were very apologetic for this hotel and described it as an embarrassment, dodgy, a dump, a dive and the Dero pub where no one goes to. The town has the potential to be a beautiful art deco town . The hotel could be beautiful if renovated but we were told that it has been sold many times and it has deteriorated each time ."
